From January 28 to February 13 people from all over the globe come to Quebec City, play and have fun in the largest winter carnival in the world. There is sliding, outdoor movie houses, zip lines, ice sculptures, sugar shacks and snow rafting. Outdoor skating rinks abound and one can see families from all over falling and spinning on ice skates. There is dancing all night for kids and parents, and adults in the Place Loto-Quebec, a building usually held for assemblies. For kids, there is the Mr. Christie Village which contains ice sliding, snow tunnels, games of skills and obstacle courses. The activities are held by wacky characters all dressed up in funny costumes. There are dog races, bobsleds, sled races, and a magnificent snow sculpture competition that is renowned all over Canada and the world. If you like snow and winter activities, this is the place to be-Quebec City in January and February.

Now if snow is not your thing, the summer months offer great walking throughout this lovely city like old Quebec City with its quaint villages, and historical significance.
